I recently returned to my Idaho roots after many years in Florida. Spying syringas on a hike, conquering a steep climb on my dirt bike and floating on a lake brings me joy. And since eastern Idaho is an iceberg half the year I strap on skis and make ridiculous attempts to get down the mountain without wiping out.
I graduated with a Master of Social Work from Florida State University in 2019, I also have an undergraduate in Social Work and a Certificate in Aging and Gerontology. I work with children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate change, communication struggles, and painful experiences. My past work experience includes long-term care diversion helping aging persons age in place with community supports, working at a Child Advocacy Center as a Parent Aide with the Parents as Teachers program, and in an Emergency Mental Health and Substance Abuse program guiding clients in crisis to achieve stability through group and individual therapy.
I strive to see everyone through the lens of their strengths. My goal is to help clients experiencing anxiety, depression, effects of trauma, or suicidal thoughts, achieve stability and thrive through use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
